Statuesque singer attends Bahrain Grand Prix, has no idea why

Macy Gray seemed to have no idea why she was at the Bahrain Grand Prix, but that’s par for the course from a women who generally seems to have no idea who she is, let alone where she is. ITV’s Martin Brundle interviewed her during his pre-race grid walk, and he was also clueless about her identity, or how she came to be on the grid in the first place. Did Tiny Bernie Ecclestone, a man so small he could fit into Macy’s handbag (see photo, above), know who he was talking to?
Grid Crasher imagines a conversation between the pair:
Bernie: So, Gracy, welcome to Bahrain…
Macy: Gracy?
Bernie: Er, aren’t you Gracy May, the famous singer?
Macy: Hmm, you tell me.
Bernie: That’s what I was told.
Macy: OK, nice to meet you too Brian…
Bernie: It’s Bernie, actually.
Macy: Like I said, nice to meet you.
Bernie then enlisted the help of shiny daughter Tamara to dig him out of an embarrassing hole. She may have been the only person in Bahrain to have ever heard of Gray. And, unlike her doll-sized daddy, she could at least look Macy in the eye:

Bahrain is never a good Grand Prix for celeb-spotting. Could it be the lack of booze on offer? Apart from Gray, there were sightings of Eric Clapton and Rory Bremner, who are both huge motorsport fans, if not celebrities that quicken the pulse.
