Will the BBC poach Brundle from ITV for next season?
Martin Brundle is the jewel in ITV Sport’s crown. He knows what he’s talking about (you might expect that from a man who competed in more than 150 grand prixs), he’s not afraid to speak his mind, and he handles the pressure of a live grid walk better than anyone might have expected. In short, he is a natural broadcaster. But could he be out of a job next season?
When the BBC takes back F1 coverage from ITV in 2009, will it sign up Brundle to their presenting team? Word on the tarmac is that the Beeb is keen to start fresh with an all-new team. We don’t mind if the BBC brings in a mainstream celeb like Richard Hammond to dumb down/brighten up the coverage, but they’d be foolish not to take advantage of Brundle’s expertise, not to mention his special relationship with the drivers:

Lewis Hamilton turned down by Williams?
Michael Schumacher, also brilliant on two wheels
