Herr Mosley’s first public appearance since Nazi Orgy-gate

Is that a Jordanian flag in your hand, or are you just pleased to see me? Yes, the most famous FIA chief of all time is back doing whet he does best, namely barking orders to prostitutes in a comedy German accent attending motorsport events around the globe.

If the organisers of the first ever World Rally round in Jordan wanted publicity, they certainly got it when Max accepted an invitation to be a guest of honour at the race – at least twice as many journalists and camera crews have turned up, compared with the numbers we’d expect at a Mosley-less rally.

Thought for the day: Perhaps a “rally” was the last type of race Max should have considered for his public rehabilitation?

Mosley attended a pre-rally dinner on Thursday night, which took place at the Marriott Hotel on the shores of the Dead Sea. According to Autosport, the dinner was poorly attended – only half the 200 invited guests turned up. Max spent most of the night talking to Prince Feisel. He has so far ignored all journalists.

A “senior figure” in World Rally was unhappy to see Mosley effectively hijack his sport: “We haven’t seen him [at a World Rally event] for how long? And now he comes on the same weekend that F1 is running in Spain. I’m not sure I’m comfortable with our sport being held hostage.”
