The Daily Mail, no less, recently ran a rather substantial feature on Florence Brudenell-Bruce, the hitherto unknown model-who-wants-to-turn-actress - and former squeeze of Jenson Button. The couple dated for almost two years but split up a few weeks ago. They remain, in her words, “very, very good friends”. And who wouldn’t want to remain very, very good friends with a girl who looks like she was born wearing the sort of floaty summer dress that Princess Diana specialised in? Small wonder that the Mail has taken a shine to the 22-year-old blonde - the fact she’s descended from the Earl of Cardigan is a Mail-friendly bonus.

So Flo-B, who is currently the face of John Lewis, has ditched poor Jenson to seek fame and fortune as… an actress? She apparently loves “the acting side of modelling” and is attending weekend courses at the RADA. Letting her go might be the biggest mistake Button has made in his life - apart from turning down a move to Williams, that is.
