Big-nosed Pole coveted by F1’s top teams. Oh, and Renault

Bobby Kubica, as we like to call him (there aren’t enough F1 drivers called Bobby), has been the driver of the season so far. Four top-four finishes in a row, plus a couple of brilliant qualifying laps, have been enough to attract the attention of Ferrari. According to Swiss publication Motorsport Aktuell (we believe it stands for “Motorsport News”), the people from the Prancing Horse have made enquiries as to Kubica’s availability in 2009 - presumably the Pole would replace Felipe Massa, rather than Kimi Raikkonen.

Motorsport Aktuell also suggests that Kubica’s manager, Daniele Morelli, may have leaked the news himself as a cunning way of boosting his charge’s salary at BMW.

As well as Ferrari, Renault have also been sniffing around the big Pole. Disgusting.
