Sulky Spanish star taunts Lil’ Lewis

In an interview with Spanish radio station Cadena SER, Fernando Alonso said that he doesn’t believe Lewis Hamilton can win the title this year:

“I see the favourites still as the two Ferraris, by a long way,” Alonso said. “Do I think Hamilton can do it? No.”

Surprise surprise. Alonso does himself no favours with his moody brand of sour grapes. Face it Fernando, you’re in a shit car and you don’t like it; if you’d shown a bit more maturity, perhaps you would still be at McLaren, in a fast car, and with a chance to win your third world title.

If Hamilton needed any more incentive to make up for last year’s lost title, Alonso just provided him with the perfect antagonism.
