Let’s not pretend otherwise: Mosley will be out of a job today
Today in Paris, Herr von Mosley’s fate as FIA boss will be sealed in a simple vote of confidence by secret ballot. As we write, the extraordinary meeting is in progress.
A poll in the Guardian of 100 of the member clubs showed 37 percent wanting Mosley to resign, 25 percent for him and 29 percent refusing to comment. The remainder were undecided or ineligible.
We find it almost impossible to believe that the majority of the 29% that refused to comment will vote for Mosley; the fact they refused to comment surely implies that they will vote against the incumbent.
Of course, polls are notoriously untrustworthy, but we’ll hop down from the pit wall and state firmly: Mosley will be voted out.
Either way, stick with us and we’ll reveal the result as soon as we get it…
