When Grid Crasher was 14 years old, KITT was undoubtedly the coolest car in the history of the known universe. Now that Grid Crasher is into its thirties, KITT remains undoubtedly the coolest car in the history of the known universe.

So imagine our juvenile delight to discover that one of the original KITTs is up for sale on eBay.

This KITT has been up for sale before, by the estate of murdered businessman Andrew Kissel (who bought the car from an auction house in 2005 for $69,000), but was taken down for additional verification of authenticity. Part of the agreement when Kissel bought it was that the car could be used in an Adam Sandler movie called The Benchwarmer. This story gets stranger and stranger.

Seeing that futuristic (ahem) dashboard again almost made us do a sex wee in our pants. Almost.

Bidding on the car currently stands at a very reasonable $26,000 - not bad for a talking car with just 20,000 miles on the clock.
