Timo Glock goes head to head against Batman’s ride

The “Tumbler” Batmobile, seen in Batman Begins and the forthcoming Dark Knight sequel, has a modest top speed of 110mph. Toyota’s TF108 can do well over 200mph.

So it was a little unfair that Timo Glock’s TF108 enjoyed a head start when the two super vechicles went head to head at Silverstone yesterday. Of course, they didn’t really race each other - it was a PR stunt thinly disguised as a race. Oh, did we mention there’s a new Batman movie coming out? Batman Batman Batman. Got it now?

Another pic of the stunt below:

As you can see, Timo Glock and Jarno Trulli are wearing overalls with the Batman logo, and both TF108s also feature a Dark Knight design on the rear wing.

Not that it will make them go any faster.
