Spanish star disappoints autograph hunters

Leave it - no amount of shouting “Fernando!” in a really annoying voice is going to get him to come over and sign your Lewis Hamilton t-shirt. What, a little wave isn’t enough? Give Nando a break, there’s a fully stocked hotel minibar calling him.

What’s the Spanish for bastardo? Hmm, we think it might be “bastardo”.

    Oh no!

One of the most photographed and talked about racing drivers in the world, is finally NOT spending yet another five minutes to talk to fans and sign his rivals T-shirt?

How can this be? Maybe….maybe he spends more than an hour every day doing PR - it gets tedious after a short time - and maybe he didn´t sleep very well?

Maybe he thought: I will go and meet these people in a short while, I just need to change my clothing?

Maybe the person who came with this “breaking news”, should think about who he is calling a bastard. You bastard

Fernando is a nasty bitter unpleasant ungrateful twunt!

That’s absolutely not true….just because you didn’t get an autograph, quit being such a bitter and twisted fan that spreads vicious comments around the web.

I heard people come back from Silvestone saying that Fernando stopped in front of a crowd after the race and throw his gloves into the crowd like he did in Spain.

I also went to the test in silvesrtone and saw Fernando for myself about 6 times (he kept passing me); and EVERY SINGLE TIME, even when he was in another mental zone because his car had problems, he stopped to sign for people, or as he walked.

Also, for every child he say, he would most definitely sign for them, smile and give them a wave or joke.

You think a bunch of brits shouting Fernando in a stupid tone from across the road is going to tempt him?

    Jakob Schmidtb is absolutely right.

Jakob, I think you may have missed the sarcastic tone of my post - I think it’s absolutely fine that Fernando did what he did.

It’s the fans who I am mocking, but thanks for your comment.

wtf is wrong with people ???

HE WAVED ! helllllloooooooooooooooo ???? isnt that enough ???

lay off him already, he was probably really tired. if i knew id be driving an f1 car the next day, i’d probably want to get some rest too.

Ollie…unfortunately the manner in which you present the sarcastic story is going to be taken literally, as for the most part (except the lewis hamilton fan but) it would be seen as undermining Alonso.

So all you’ve done is fuel it for the worse, and an innocent person in this situation is going to be faced with even more unjust animosity.

You don’t realise what you’ve done, even on a small scale (but considering your story is going out on many newsfeeds, it won’t be so small)….that’s the power of media so use it responsibly.

Maybe you ought to have put a footnote, or made your sarcasm a bit more obvious in the title or something.

Lia, I wouldn’t want Alonso’s autograph if he paid me to have it. He’s still an arrogant, nasty brat and overrated to boot!
