Mother nature vs Norwegian petrolheads
A lightning bolt struck 91 spectators who were sat on a hill at a national rallycross event in Norway on Sunday. The bolt hit an uncovered stand on a hill where the unlucky Scandos were sat. Some 16 ambulances and three medical helicopters were brought to the scene at Flisa, 8 km from the Swedish border. Amazingly, no one was seriously injured, although 45 people were treated for minor burns.
”I’ve never seen anything like it; spectators fell off their seats,” eye-witness Roar Bringaker (cool name, btw) was quoted as saying on the website of Norwegian newspaper Verdens Gang.
