Spurs sign up for new racing series
Tottenham Hotspur are the latest football club to sign up to compete in the new Superleague Formula. Spurs are 16th outfit to join the championship, alongside teams such as AC Milan, PSV Eindhoven, Sevilla, Olympiakos (pictured) and FC Porto. Glasgow Rangers are also committed to the series.
“We are thrilled to have a top-line club like Spurs join our championship,” said Superleague Formula President Alex Andreu.
“England was one of the final pieces of the Superleague Formula puzzle we had to complete… Tottenham Hotspur is one of the most talented and entertaining football teams in the Premier League and I hope their racing team will show similar qualities on the track.”
This is how Spurs’ car will look (apologies for grainy image quality):
COYS!
The 750bhp, V12-powered cars, designed by US-owned Menard Competition Technologies, make their debut at Donington Park on August 30-31. Shame there’s no Arsenal car, eh - that’s a motorsport derby we would like to see.

Guess what? Michael Schumacher fell off his motorbike again (we know)

How will this work? Who decides on the driver? Who funds the whole project? I hope this doesn’t have any financial downsides that could effect our ambitions o the pitch…
