Is this the most exotic supercar on the planet?

Say hi to the outrageously flamboyant Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport. It makes most other supercars look like second-hand bangers.

A few things you should know about this seductive slab of supercar, plus a couple more photos, after the jump:

* With a daft top speed of 253mph (with the roof on; 229mph with the roof off), it’s easily the fastest convertible ever made.

* Only 150 models are being made. The first 50 Grand Sports will be reserved exclusively for current Bugatti owners.

* The first Grand Sport will be auctioned off at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance this weekend.

* It costs £1.1m.

* Production will start in March 2009.

* We want one.

* We can’t afford one.
