70% chance of a wet race at Monza
This has to be one of the most rain-affected F1 seasons in recent years, and things aren’t about to change in time for this Sunday’s Italian GP. Forecasters say there’s a 70% chance of rain falling at Monza during the race, with showers also affecting today’s practice session, as well as qualifying on Saturday.
This has to be great news for McLaren, who are much quicker than Ferrari in wet conditions - this year, at least. On the back of Lewis Hamilton’s revelation that he was praying for rain during the Belgian Grand Prix, you can bet that Felipe Massa, Kimi and all at Ferrari will be looking nervously at their own weather predictions.
