Toro Rosso ace will be getting plenty of the good paper
If Sebastian Vettel is waiting until the global economy recovers to buy his solid gold mansion and diamond-encrusted helicopter, he needn’t be so conservative. According to Willi Weber, the F1 manager who made Michael Schumacher insanely rich, the 21-year-old German could make ten million euros per year for the next decade:
“With his talent, he has at least 15 golden years - he is only 21. He made the right decision this year. First he will continue driving for Red Bull for a few years, where he can learn and develop his skills. Then he still has ten years to drive for a top team like Ferrari or Mercedes. That’s where you get the really big money and great sponsors.”
Of course, Weber wasn’t offering his fiscal opinion for his health - he is keen to manage Vettel and insists that the Monza winner needs a “friend, manager and protector”.
