“I’m only human,” Lewis confirms
So Ron Dennis did not build a humanoid named “Lewis Hamilton” in his high-tech McLaren shed. Lewis has admitted he is made of flesh and blood:
“When you’re constantly scrutinised it is difficult. I’m only human, and every now and then people make mistakes,” Lewis bleeped, paraphrasing one of The Human League’s worst records.
Writing on his personal website, he continued:
“Recently, there have been lots of different quotes attributed to me. Sometimes I’ve said things that have either come out the wrong way or been taken out of context, so people get a different feeling of what I’ve said when I haven’t expressed myself correctly.
“Communication is so important in life and some of the things I’ve said were not meant to harm anyone. I don’t feel like I’ve hurt anyone, and my family makes sure that doesn’t happen.”
Seems like Lewis’ people are on a PR damage limitation exercise, and so he’s dialling down the arrogance. A bit late though?
Either that or Big Ron has at last found a way to programme his driver to feel real human emotions. “Dave, I’m scared Dave…”

I don’t think Lewis is arrogant, millions of people love him and KNOW he is not arrogant. Now Alonso, there’s an arrogant tosser who is also a vindictive wanker!
