Top Gear motormouth loses even more friends
After pissing off most of the lorry drivers in Britain, Clarkson has set his sights on an entire country. In his latest column for The Sun, the Top Gear presenter referred to Greece as “a toilet”. In the article, he also commented on a recent ad campaign by the Greek tourist board, which featured “a girl who didn’t look all that Greek either. She didn’t have a moustache for instance”.

haha !!! really funny!!! we all believe in some national stereotypes, even in the most absurd ones. Greece is really a beautiful country with delicious cusine, rich history and very hospitable people. I felt a little bit disappointed after reading some comments, that the Greeks don’t have a sense of humour, and can’t joke about their own national stereotypes.

I read a Penguin book compiling some columns he had written and in it he said that while on holiday in Greece, some Greek fisherman, or something, beat him up. Isn’t it time he got over it? The bit about Greeks convincing the world they’re gay was kinda funny but the bit about cooking wasn’t at all funny. I liked the way Stelios handled him.
But really, calling Greece a toilet is taking things too far. He should stick to cars.

I am Greek and I don’t think that the anti-English comments are coming from Greeks cause they are smarter than that. But if they are not I ‘m sorry on behalf of them.
Anyway, this guy is a good laugh and he likes to insult a lot. But as a professional comedian he knows when the thin line between beeing funny and offensive is crossed. Well, the above videoclip and the his article are both offensive and he’s doing it on purpose but what the hell… He’s just one person and his opinion represents himself, not the UK public.
Greece and UK are friendly countries. End of story.

Wasting 9 minutes while talking rubbish about a whole country and go above the limits isn’t something to be called humor, not even sarcasm.
