Is Robert Kubica too moody to be world champion?

Polish Bob needs to lighten up

Kubica has quickly earned a reputation as the moodiest driver on the grid. Throughout the season we heard him arguing with his crew over the team radio, while paddock rumours suggest he regularly criticises his team and disagrees with his race engineer.

Even BMW boss Mario Thiessen admitted that Kubica was a difficult man to work with:

“Robert was in top form and if the car was not quick enough he took it as a personal affront. The working relationship was therefore not always easy, but his unreserved determination to achieve success commands respect.”

There is no doubt that Bobby K is a seriously talented driver, but perhaps he is too serious and takes things too personally? His selfish personality doesn’t seem well-suited to enduring in a team environment - he clearly lost patience with BMW as the season wore on, no doubt because he felt that the team’s decision to focus on their 2009 car may have cost him a world title.

Fair enough, you might say - what driver wouldn’t be pissed off in the same circumstances. But there seems to be a feeling within F1 that Kubica won’t ever become world champion unless he learns to work with a team, not against them. Take a chill pill, Robert - your team wants you to succeed and you need to realise that.

Kubica is a nasty piece of work, the nastiest, most evil driver in F1. His face depicts his character - like something out of a horror movie.

And it makes me laugh at the criticism the lovely beautiful Lewis gets - if he was caught on team radio saying the things Kubica said, his haters would explode in an orgy of outrage.

I agree with saying that Kubica complains about his team, but tell me is it really baseless? Ferrari managed to improve its car in the season, but BMW managed to do what? Nothing. Comparing to other teams there is probably the lowest progress.
Selfish? I never thought that Kubica can be selfish. Why won’t you say that Hamilton is selfish? I think it’s so unfair to evaluate Kubica in that way. Jelena you’re right. He’s like a teddy. I’m just kiddin’.

    Think before you write something.
    Regards, Agnes.
    And peace out haters.

It’s a pity that the team works against Robert!

To demand of others as mush as you demand of yourself is not beeing moody. He lost 6kg so the team would have an easier time ballancing the car. Maybe if he crashed into others a couple times this season he would not be called moody

Kubica is one of the most talented drivers on the grid, and Hamilton, one of the luckiest. I can definately understand if he thought the team could have developed a WDC winning car as the season progressed, but on behalf of the team, I can understand that they would like to work on next season’s ride especially considering how radically different they will be. Don’t expect to see this attitude from Kubica next season. BMW Sauber will perform much better.

a ludlow musi mieć cieżkie życie. Najprawdopodobnie jakis Polak obnażył jego niedostatki i teraz pała nienawiscią do wszystkich , którzy kojarza się w jakiś sposob z Pl. ; ).Pewnie kabanos też by mu nie smakował ;)).W sumie to biedny czlowiek, wybaczam mu ;))
