Scuderia’s imagination runs wild
Ferrari’s winter test car, based closely on this season’s F2008, has been christened… drum roll… the F2008K. It’s understood that the ‘K’ is simply a reference to the imminent KERS energy-saving technology. See what they did there? Krazy guys.
The F2008K will be able to test with several simulated KERS set-ups, eventually running with a fully operational KERS.
The car will debut at Ferrari’s local test circuit, Fiorano, with testing set to continue at Barcelona next week. Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa are on holiday (a well-earned holiday in the case of Massa; less so for Kimi), so test driver Luca Badoer will be at the wheel.
