Bourdais, Buemi and Sato set to fight for a seat
Scuderia Toro Rosso, one of the only teams yet to finalise its line-up for 2009, will test a trio of drivers at Barcelona next week. The three men in the hot seats are:
1) Sebastien Buemi Red Bull’s Swiss test driver
2) Takuma Sato Japanese veteran
3) Sebastien Bourdais Speccy Frenchman who drove for the team in 2008, without impressing anyone much
So it looks very much like Buemi, Sato and Bourdais will be fighting for two seats - one man will miss out (yes, we are brilliant at maths) But which one?
Bourdais has one season at Toro Rosso under his belt, which should give him the jump on his two rivals, but he has yet to convince the team that he is good enough to retain his seat. Buemi is quick and raw, while Sato is quick (sometimes) and old. Both men have the pace to keep Bourdais honest, but we’re pretty confident that it will be Bourdais plus either Buemi/Sato.
We expect to see two Sebs in tandem - again - in 2009. Bourdais and Buemi it is then.
Who would you go for?
Crasher bonus! Taku Sato - the good, the bad… and the ugly:

If STR were interested in JPM, then Sato in the team isnt a huge push.
Sebass… i dont know. He has to have something since he was so dominant in the US, but…

2 Sebs. It’s one less new name for everyone to remember. And when I think of Sato, I think of his team radio at the start of a race, telling him when to go left or right…is there a clip of that somewhere?
