The Arash AF-10: the latest British supercar

Home grown street racer is half the price of a Koenigsegg

Arash AF-10

British/Iranian entrepreneur and car manufacturer Arash Farboud - the man who famously bought a Bugatti Veyron over the phone while going through a McDonalds drive-thru - revealed his latest supercar, the AF-10 as a concept car at the 2007 British Motor Show. From mid-2009, punters with a spare £172,000 knocking about will be able to claim one as it goes into production. That’s about a third of the price of the Enzo Ferrari, the car from which it borrows much of its aesthetic design.

The AF-10, hand-made in Cambridge, will house a thirsty seven litre V8 (taken from a Corvette Z06) which will give 530bhp, a top speed

MSN name their top 10 cars (and the Peugeot 106 GTi is in there)

MSN’s grandiosely-titled Supercar Correspondent, Nick Hall, has today put together a list of the best cars he has ever driven. As you would imagine, a supercar correspondent (at least we think that’s what he is - perhaps he is just a super car correspondent) has access to some fairly high-end cars. You know, the sort of cars that you and I would not be found driving without an accompanying police helicopter. The Pagani Zonda F Roadster is in there, the Ferrari F430 and the McLaren F1 are there, and (shock, horror) the Bugatti Veyron is there.

Jeremy Clarkson admits doing 186mph on UK roads

Calls for BBC to sack Top Gear host after speeding admission

For the record, Grid Crasher thinks Clarkson is a Premier League tool. Smug, arrogant, blinkered, xenophobic, badly dressed, pompous, self-aggrandising… we could go on and on about JC’s faults. He is undoubtedly the worst thing about Top Gear - who else could make James May look like a cool guy?

That said, when we heard that Clarkson had admitted speeding on a British public road (in the Limehouse Link tunnel, to be specific) at 186mph, in a Bugatti Veyron, we smiled. It’s a typical admission from this massive-headed wind-up merchant, uttered with the sole intention of annoying lefty liberals who don’t own cars. There’s nothing wrong with winding up liberals, but at 186mph? That’s almost 120mph faster than the national speed limit.
