NASCAR has a new superstar. And he’s just 18
On Saturday night, just 21 days after his 18th birthday, Joey Logano became the youngest winner in NASCAR Nationwide Series history when he won the Meijer 300 (gotta love those bland, corporate race names) at the Kentucky Speedway.
After the record-breaking win, Logano said: “I expected to win here. I have to win races. Losing is not an option for me.”
Losing is not an option? That’s one self-confident 18-year-old. When Grid Crasher was 18, its options included whether or not to buy Red or Blue Thunderbird from the local off licence.
