To criminals in Italy: you’re going to need a faster getaway car

Lambo have donated a new, tricked-out Gallardo to the Italian cops - Lazio’s Highway Police, to be specific. The shiny LP560-4 (pictured) replaces the previous Gallardo, in use since 2004.The Gallardo LP560-4 Polizia has a 560bhp engine and a top speed of 203 mph. It’s also packing more gadgets than your average James Bond ride, including:• Automatic numberplate recognition system, which tracks and transmits numberplate data in real-time to a central control room.• A forward-looking video camera that logs GPS data, again in real time.• A first-response first-aid kit, featuring defibrulator, plus refrigerated box for organ transport.How cool is that? Lambo unveils Estoque

Remember those Lamborghini teaser photos for the new concept car? Well, the random bits of bodywork we showed you belonged to the new Lamborghini Estoque, which has now been unveiled at the Paris Motor Show. The four-door car is named after the sword used by matadors in bullfights. It seems the new Lambo is a concept in every sense of the word. The lack of official confirmation on any engine specifications has caused a rumour that it is completely naked under the bonnet. If true this would obviously make the car going on sale a relatively distant prospect.

Crafy Lambo keep us guessing

Lamborghini has continued its teaser marketing ploy for its new concept car which will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show on October 2. Last week we showed you the new Lambo’s backside, today we can bring you pictures of the new car’s rearlights. At least that is what we think we are bringing you. Is it possible to tease when you don’t have a clue what you are being teased about?

Thankfully, the Lamborghini PR team is on hand to clarify. “It’s not just a new Lamborghini. It’s a new world,” claims the spiel. Clear as mud then.

At least it is not too long until we literally get to see the full picture.

Two Lambo posts in a day? We sure spoil you

The folks at Top Gear Blog have been slipped the teaser image above, said to represent the rear diffuser of a brand new Lamborghini that may be revealed in Paris next month. Frankly, it gives so little away it could just as easily be a picture of a microwave, but there are wild rumours of it being a four door model - their first since the (fairly shite) LM002 ‘Rambo Lambo’.

Whether it’s a four door, a 4×4 or an ‘entry level’ model to slot in below the Gallardo, it is sure to steal all the attention at the Motor Show.
