As part of the Life Ball AIDS charity event, Agent Provocateur was commissioned to design a special-edition Mini Clubman. As befits a company that specialises in naughtiness with a vague S&M theme, they plumped for a black-and-pink police car, complete with fishnet pattern on the roof.
This video was taken at a photo shoot to promote the car. Several scary looking models, wearing thigh-high boots and not a lot else, were drafted in to sex up the shoot. Max Mosley, this one’s going out to you.
A zero emissions mass production car is closer than ever, as BMW have been rolling a Mini without a pipe under the rear bumper around the streets of Munich. As if this wasn’t subtle enough indicator of their petrol-ditching intentions, the Germans also plastered “Hybrid Erprobungsfahrzeug” (”Hybrid Test Vehicle”) all over the test model.
Car Magazine believes the eco-friendly motor will be revealed at the Los Angeles motor show in November, well ahead of regulations that will require car manufacturers who wish to trade in California to offer a zero emissions model by 2012.
Visit Car Magazine for a few more snaps that have hideous watermarks plastered all over them.
You’re looking at a concept design for the new MINI Crossover, a “design study” carried out by BMW to see if there’s a market for an off-road MINI. The car will debut at the Paris Motor Show in October, where it will surely be the star of the show.
No details on technical specs yet, although it’s likely BMW will choose variations on the current MINI’s 1.6litre petrol and diesel engines. What we do know is that the Crossover has four-wheel drive, four individual seats, four doors and is four metres long - yeah, we get the “four” theme chaps.
Here’s precision driver Russ Swift, showing us all how to fit a Mini into a very-Mini-sized parking space. Don’t try this in your own car. Unless your name is Russ Swift, that is.
Drive your Mini through the face of… whoever the hell you want
Its Friday afternoon, so you’re probably bored and watching the clock. Here’s something to occupy you for a few precious minutes before you head down the pub: Mini’s new Ban Boredom campaign, launched to celebrate the new Mini Cooper S, allows you to drive the car up a long ramp and straight into the face of… well, whose face would you like to see demolished by an imaginary Mini? We chose Herr Max von Mosley, and very satisfying it was too.
