Lewis, Jenson and mates “strut their stuff” for charity
Who needs a regular catwalk when you can walk around a luxury, open-air swimming pool in Monte Carlo?
And the “driver who should give up his day job and become a model” award goes to: Nelson Piquet Jnr, who looks like he’s walked straight out of a mail-order catalogue.
Last week we told you about Petra Ecclestone’s F1 fashion show, which took place a couple of days before Sunday’s Monaco GP. Today we show you the best pics from the charity event, plus a video shot backstage.
The first model we present is Jenson Button, who is seen here wearing an outfit that we describe as “Metrosexual Bavarian”. Jens said of the outfit: “I like it… I really like it…” but perhaps the look in his eyes told a different story. You decide.
Jenson Button and co. will hit the catwalk for charity fashion show
The better-looking F1 drivers – including Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg, Jenson Button, Nelson Piquet Jnr, Mark Webber and David Coulthard – are set to exchange racing overalls for designer clothes, as part of an exclusive F1 fashion show. How do they find the time to drive? The show will take place in Monte Carlo on Friday 23rd May, two days before this season’s Monaco Grand Prix. The lucky drivers will be forced to show off FORM’s new menswear collection, which has been designed by a certain Petra Ecclestone. Ain’t nepotism a wonderful thing.
Second lady of F1 wants to be a fashion designer. Ya, she so does
We’ve already featured Petra’s older sister, Tamara, and now it’s the turn of Bernie & Slavica’s youngest daughter. Petra, 19, is just your average billionaire heiress – she wants to be a fashion designer, and has recently started working with Savile Row tailor Edward Sexton, who just happens to make suits for little Bernie Ecclestone – ah, we love the smell of nepotism in the morning.
